Family Intensives
Therapy in Austin, TX
When a family is stuck in painful patterns, waiting for the next weekly session can feel too slow. A Family Intensive brings the whole family together for extended, focused time, built to create breakthroughs that a single hour a week often can’t reach. Jordan works with colleague and family expert Janice Reyes, LMFT to provide wrap-around support in integrated work.
Who this is for
- Families in ongoing conflict who need concentrated time to interrupt the cycle
- Parents and teenagers stuck in an escalating pattern of conflict or disconnection
- Families formed through foster care or adoption working through attachment ruptures
- Blended families needing focused time to build a shared sense of safety and belonging
- Families navigating a major transition (a loss, a diagnosis, a move) who want extra support processing it together
What’s included
Each Family Intensive is built around your family’s specific dynamics. It typically begins with an assessment of the family’s patterns (who withdraws and when, what triggers escalations, and integrally, where safety breaks down), followed by extended sessions that may include the whole family, sub-groups (such as a parent and one child), while individual ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) sessions are provided by another trusted therapist. You’ll leave with a concrete plan for continuing the work of building family safety and connection.
Why an intensive
Extended, concentrated time allows a family to move past the same five minutes of conflict that usually cuts weekly sessions short, and into the deeper repair underneath it. For families in crisis, or families who’ve tried weekly sessions without traction, the intensive format often creates movement faster.
