FAQs
Therapy is a space to slow down and get curious—about your emotions, your patterns, and your relationships. It’s not about fixing you, but about understanding you. Sessions often feel like a conversation, with moments of insight, reflection, and sometimes deep emotion. Over time, therapy helps you make sense of your inner world and relate to others with more clarity and connection.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons—feeling stuck in a relationship, carrying pain from the past, managing stress, or seeking clarity in a transition. Therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart; it’s also a proactive way to grow, heal, and move toward the kind of life and relationships you want. If you’re even asking the question, it’s probably worth exploring.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally reactive, or unsure of your next step, therapy might be exactly what you need. It’s for anyone who wants to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, or find new ways to navigate life’s challenges. You don’t have to have it all figured out before coming—therapy helps you get there.
No. While I do work with many couples, I also support individuals and families navigating anxiety, grief, identity, trauma, and relational pain. The common thread is a desire for deeper connection—with yourself or others.
Our first session is a time to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what therapy is (and isn’t), and we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and begin identifying the patterns shaping your experience. You’ll have space to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.
I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Family Systems Theory. These approaches emphasize the emotional bonds and relational patterns that shape our lives—and how healing happens in connection.

We do not accept insurance, but will provide all necessary documentation for clients to file out of network. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand your out-of-network benefits. If you have questions call your carrier directly. Some helpful questions you can ask are:
- What are my mental health benefits?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
- How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee.
